Building a compassionate and inclusive culture through ‘Leading Together’

Learn how we designed and delivered LCO’s first bespoke leadership development programme, Leading Together – Empowering Strengths-based Leadership, as part of a District Nurse Stabilisation Programme.

The challenge

The initiative sought to address the need for enhanced leadership capability and confidence within this critical population of District Nurses. Desired outcomes included an increase in leadership capability, increased retention and engagement and an increase in readiness for future roles.

Our approach

Our aim was to develop kind, compassionate leadership and improve people’s everyday impact on others. The programme was developed as a key enabler of the LCO’s ambition to build a culture of compassionate, inclusive, and people-centred leadership. It aligns with organisational priorities such as Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion; appraisals, and staff engagement, with the ambition to expand the programme across the LCO.

The result

Leading Together delivered exceptional results across five cohorts, engaging 74 participants. Net Promoter Scores (NPS) demonstrated exceptional participant satisfaction. The average score for all cohorts was 9.75/10.
