One of our wonderful team is going on maternity leave and we’re looking for someone to support us in the interim. Whilst this is initially a temporary position, dependent on business growth there may be an opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.
Job Purpose
If you are a great communicator with a skill for helping people develop, this could be the role for you! In this facilitation-based role, you’ll be delivering a high standard of learning programmes and organisational development activity across a range of public and private sector organisations. You’ll run our workshop-based programmes, directly helping delegates to grow in their leadership journey. As such, this role is suited to someone who loves getting conversation flowing, using coaching principles to help others develop and enjoys working with people. The salary for this role is: £30k-£33k per annum (FTE)

Main Responsibilities
If you join our team as our Interim Facilitator, you’ll be responsible for a wide variety of facilitation activities, and we’ve included some examples below to give you a flavour of what you’ll be involved in.
Delivering Development Programmes
You’ll manage a range of programmes, including:
- Leading or co-leading online and in-person development sessions (this will be
the majority focus for the role) - Facilitating a broad variety of wider interventions such as focus groups and
development centres - Consulting with clients to understand their needs and tailoring our content to
suit - You’ll also have the opportunity to design some of the programme content
too
The Creative Bits
We’d also love to involve you in some of the wider creative aspects of the business,
such as:
- Supporting the development of social media and marketing campaigns
- Supporting the preparation of business proposals and learning materials
- Staying current with latest thinking and trends to help support business growth
Key Experience / Behaviours
As you can see from the above role detail, there are a few key skills that are an absolute essential such as: excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and organisational skills, alongside a love of getting-things-done and helping people to thrive.
In addition, there are a few things that we’d love for you to have which are listed below. This is our wish-list so don’t worry if you don’t meet all the below criteria – we’d still love to hear from you!
- Experience working in an OD/HR/Leadership Development or L&D team
- Outstanding communication skills face-to-face, virtually and in writing
- Experience maintaining positive and effective working relationships internally and externally
- Being outcomes-orientated
- Experience of coaching individuals and/or teams, whether formal or informal
- Comprehensive knowledge of PowerPoint, Zoom and MS Teams
- An ability to prioritise effectively, balancing varying projects and needs
- Passion about developing people and work communities to thrive
What we Offer
- We are happy for the successful post holder to work either full time or part time (ideally a minimum of 22 hours per week)
- You can work from our office in Ashton-under-Lyne (Greater Manchester) or your home (or a combination of the two!). We’re big believers in flexible working and will support to make this work for you

- You’ll have 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and an extra day off for your birthday
